Full description

Depart from Tromsø in the morning, and head out to where the whales are in time to enjoy the short hours of daylight. Take in the breathtaking views of frozen landscapes in comfortable, panoramic lounges, and multi-level decks. Find a selection of food and drinks for purchase on board.

It'll take you about 3 to 3.5 hours to reach the whales, and, depending on the way and weather conditions, you'll spend about 1 to 1.5 hours with them. The boat uses a hybrid engine to reach their feeding grounds. As you near the whales the captain will switch to a silent electric engine that allows you to get close without disturbing them.

Great opportunity to see the whales! We chose the hybrid boat on purpose to support sustainable travel and it was totally worth it. The boat was very comfortable and new, the guides were amazing: very helpful and knowledgeable on the subject. And of course we got to see orcas (not the humpback whales this time, but not disappointed at all). One important thing to keep in mind and to make your trip as comfortable as possible: even if you’ve never experienced see sickness, make sure to take the pills. You never know if it happens to you when you go out to the rough winter seas. Otherwise, the whole trip will turn into survival camp. We had a lot of seasick people on the boat, including me, and the crew was doing everything possible to help us.

It was really good, the team was great and finally we saw some killer whales. However, some of the passangers were sick, incluiding me. Of couse it is not them fault and I can understand more or less that the can not give all pills, but I think any type of message should be shown on the website, warning people to be aware of that. I would appreciate it so much

Everything about this trip was excellent. I was very impressed with the organisation’. The boat was warm and comfortable with reasonably priced food and drink. The commentary was very informative, this was delivered in short passages during the trip. Of course motoring in the awesome scenery was unforgettable and we were lucky enough to see the orcas. I would totally recommend any adult person to go on this trip. Not a trip for small children. The crew could be not be more helpful.
