Full description

Journey outside of Tromsø, away from the city's light pollution, in search of the Northern Lights together with an experienced guide. Marvel at the immense majesty of the Arctic as you share stories with your companions by a crackling bonfire.

Depart from the meeting point in the center of Tromsø and embark on a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience in the Arctic wilderness. Your experienced guide will then lead you in the pursuit of the spellbinding natural phenomenon that is the Aurora Borealis.

As you search the skies in multiple locations, take in the rugged beauty of your surroundings. Listen to local myths and stories about the lights, as well as a scientific explanation about why they exist.

After finding the best spot to watch the lights, crunch through fresh snow surrounded by towering mountains and deep fjords. Take the time to really admire this incredible natural display of light, where colors dance in the air in beautiful, mesmerizing patterns.

Keep your energy up with hot drinks, snacks, and warm locally-made stew. Then be taken back to memories of summer camp as you roast marshmallows on a smoky bonfire.

Take lots of great photos throughout the night with the tripod provided. Your guide will offer advice to set up your camera properly, and also take photos of your group with the Northern Lights in the background. After a memorable evening, you will be dropped off at your accommodation in Tromsø.

Excellent trip! The guides were knowledgeable and shared a lot of information regarding the northern lights. We managed to see the lights within the first 2 hours of starting the trip! The thermal suits provided by the tour guide were a lifesaver as it started getting colder later in the night. Our guide offered to take as many pictures as we needed which was incredibly sweet of her! Highly recommend.

The tour was very good and the Guide and the driver were excellent. Since the weather was not good, we only saw a weak northern lights, but the guide and the driver were really nice looking for it, and it worth. However, I had two bad experiences. First, the minivan that I was going had some mechanical issues, and the people that would go in this van (including me) had the tour cancelled. I was "lucky" because 3 persons from the other van decided not to go, and then I was able to go in the other van. However, I was surprised that they didn't have a "Plan B" - I mean, I believe that people who go in this tour don't have many options to change. It's ok to have the tour cancelled due to weather conditions, but not due to a mechanical issue ... The other problem was with the Photos taken. The guide told that they would be sent but I haven't received them. I had to contact "Get Your Guide" and then the "Polar Adventures" and finally I received the Photos, almost one week after the Tour
