I was going to write that it’s a ‘once in a lifetime’ experience, but I will be back to do it again in a few months. The staff are very friendly and professional, animal welfare is their main priority, and best of all, the dogs love it. A wonderful experience.

This is a must do when in Tromsø. We were able to walk around freely and meet all of the dogs and even go into the puppy pen and play with them. We then chose to do a ride instead of a self drive and it was so relaxing and beautiful. Our wonderful musher provided us with so much information on racing, the season, how the dogs are cared for, how the weather impacts the sledding, and detailed information about each of our wonderful dogs that were pulling us. Lunch was amazing, with piping hot soup, hot chocolate, and chocolate cake all in a beautiful cozy setting. Each and every staff person we interacted with was informative, caring, and kind. We loved this excursion.

We did a husky sleigh ride with Tromsø Villmarkssenter. Really great. You get warm clothes, which you also need. 2 people per sled with driver. And then it's off to a long lap through the untouched snow. fantastic. The dogs are all very loving and very wild to run. Afterwards you have time to pet the dogs and get a lot of information about the huskies. And then there's something warm to drink in the cozy hut and a hot vegetable stew with reindeer meat. They also have some vegetarian options. The dogs are all really nice, some of course a bit playful but completely problem-free. This also works for people who are not so into dogs. Highly recommended, worth every penny
