Full description

On this comfortable cruise from Tromsø, head to Whale Island and the open sea. Listen to your guide’s commentary about the fish and whale species that thrive in waters that are filled with herring and plankton. The local partner's fast boat ensures that you'll get plenty of time on the water.

The coast of Tromsø in northern Norway is widely considered among the best areas in the region for spotting whales. You’ll be on the lookout for inquisitive humpback and killer whales swimming and feeding, and for birds such as sea eagles, gulls, guillimots, eider ducks, and cormorants.

Frame all the action through the lens of your camera. With outdoor decking and indoor seating on board the heated boat, you can enjoy an up-close experience with Norway’s native wildlife.

Loved seeing the whales and most of crew great but think it would be better to have a bit of a general briefing about where to stand or sit outside on the boat rather than have one of the captains come storming out shouting that if people are standing he can’t see where the whales are. Clearly he had a point but if told beforehand it wouldn’t have happened. Fish soup lovely and boat comfortable

This trip was incredible! We are lucky enough to have a been on a few different whale watching excursions and this was one of the best! The boat was perfect for the experience, the crew were extremely nice and attentive and most importantly we felt like they respected the whales, who ended up swimming near our boat. We were amazingly lucky and saw orcas, humpbacks and eagles. It was perfect!

If your question is if you are going to see whales ... We saw them, and a meter from the ship. Also the water is so clear that you could see how they were swimming around the boat. What is also impressive is the natural light that surrounds you, a mixture of sunrise and sunset that already makes it worthwhile. Fabled service and fish soup too. They could put a little more cookies for breakfast, yes. If you have doubts about whether you are going to get dizzy or not, what I recommend is that you take a pill, or that you consider entering (it is three hours to go plus three hours to return). The boat is small and the waves, of great force, make it move a lot, but at no time do you feel unsafe.
