From Tromso: Northern Lights Photography Tour

The trip with Robin was amazing. He really aimed to chase the northern lights instead of waiting for them in one spot. This way, he decided spontaneously to use a ferry to cross the fjord where aurora was waiting for us soon after. Even if it meant driving home a longer way back. Due to him being flexible where to go, we were also flexible where to stop - so when ever aurora appeared, Robin was immediately looking where to stop quickly to take pictures of the spectacle. This way we didn’t only see very strong aurora, we also got fotos from different locations / different backgrounds, and we were not standing in the cold for long due to continue driving to the next spot. The bus was super comfortable and warm and I felt Robin really understood aurora and us! Can totally recommend his tour, especially after have seen the opposite as well with the big tours. Also just a few hours later, Robin sent us the pictures of the photo session!! I’m more than happy with this tour - thanks Robin!!

We had such an adventurous night! This tour takes you to out of the ordinary spots, so you’re not in a crowd of people. We ended up on a ferry (where we managed to get a glimpse of the lights) and then driving to some dark areas with clear skies. Our guide was incredible and kept stopping the van whenever he could see the lights. We were also given some hot chocolate which was lovely!
