We had an exciting, informative, invigorating time exploring the fjords and Trollstingen with Stephan (Italian guide) and the wonderful local driver. They both engaged the entire bus, answered our individual questions &kept everyone present. Our only frustration was that the meeting point was not labeled BY NAME on the map that was emailed to us, so 40 ppl wandered around looking for the right bus. Finally we all had to run over the bridge to another side of the port and clamor onto one of two busses, but we lucked out with Stephan as the guide and quickly turned our thoughts from that late start to the beautiful scenery and fun commentary. We experienced a range of weather, from sun to fresh falling snow (June) as we approached the troll road. It was all mesmerizing, the driver was amazing on the hairpin turns, we felt safe in motion. We also are thankful for the cancellation/ rescheduling policy as our cruise switched port days &we were easily able to get the same tour. Excellent!
We were on our first ever cruise and quite suprised by the prices of the official excursions organised by Princess compared to those available via GetYourGuide. Having decided to book this trip via their app with this operator, I am so glad we did. It was amazing, well organised, easy to find, the guide was outstanding and the overall experience was top drawer. Our guide was from New Zealand and called Dane (I think anyway). Anyway, his knowledge and understanding of the routes, geography, geology and history was amazing. I have no idea how hard he has worked to learn his stuff so well, but he was brilliant and a credit to his role. We were back in time for a walk around Alesun well before the ship time to get back on board and if u make it clear what cruise you are on when booking, they guarantee you as well re getting back on. 5 stars all round

Meeting point is on the Prestebrygga Cruise Pier. You will see a large orange/rust colored building located on the pier. IMPORTANT! ITS NOT THE NEWLY PAINTED ORANGE ONE! The bus will be parked next to it. Your guide will be wearing a light blue jacket.

Know before you go
- This trip is adapted to the arrival and departure times of cruise ships. Modified departure times will be announced in advance.
- A back-to-ship guarantee is offered for cruise passengers provided that information (name of the cruiseship) is registered during booking. The tour must end 1 hour prior to your ship’s departure.
- It is of utmost importance to register the correct mobile number with the country code, to communicate smoothly with the activity provider. There will be no refunds if you cannot be contacted with your registered number.

- IMPORTANT!- The Trollstigen road is closed, yet this is only one stretch of the road. The tour is still running as we reach the viewpoint that is on top of the road from the south. You'll still see all the sights (except, unfortunately, the Trollwall) and have a wonderful view of the road even if you won't be driving through it.
