Valldal: Classic Canyoning for Everyone

Valldal: Classic Canyoning for Everyone

Canyoning is an activity where it`s all about moving down and though a canyon. The trip takes place directly downstream from the renowned Gudbrandsjuvet canyon, approximately 15 kilometers from Valldal, towards Trollstigen. The course is located in an breathtaking canyon, where placid water from Reinheimen National Park runs between vertical granite walls. Within the canyon we have a course of obstacles, travelling down the canyon. The first challenge is a via-ferrata, followed by a rope bridge, stretched across to the other side of the canyon. From there we move further into the canyon with via-ferrata, a new balance bridge, before do our first dive of the day from 3 meters height! After a short swim in the refreshing water, we climb up again, ready for more jumping, swimming, climbing and ziplining. The trip ends with a swim through a white water rapid at the end of the canyon. How high do I need to jump? The answer is 3 meter, which most people can do. It is possible to skip that jump also, but then you will loose a big part of the experience. And what about the highest? 12 meters, but that`s only for the toughest! We have jumps from 1 to 12 meters. Your safety- To keep you safe, we have some safety instructions and requirements we need you to follow. Our safety-waiver must be signed before you can participate in our activities or courses.

We very like our trip and our guide Lisa is amazing and very informative. We enjoy it. In the beginning we didn’t find rusty / orange building. The building is rusty (!), not orange and located about 200 meters from terminal exit. ( because beside exit located another orange building, that isn’t right building). Instructions for meeting point weren’t clear for us

We enjoyed it and our guide Kane was very informative and told interesting stories. It was a shame that the Trollstiegen was closed due to heavy snowfall and we only found out about it when we got there. But nobody can do anything about the weather. We still saw some beautiful landscapes.

Our experience was magical! We saw many humpbacks, several were very close to our boat. The guide was fun and educational. The entire crew was great. Definitely recommend!!!
