By far the best tour in my six week trip in Argentina and Uruguay. Max was an amazing guide and shared information on wildlife, history and other points of interest throughout the day. We had a great visit with the penguins even though it was near the end of the season, there were lots to see- just fewer people. I really enjoyed our stop in Gaiman- we had time to go to a museum, have a coffee and explore a little. Well done! Keep up the great work!

Likely the best tour I’ve ever been on. There were only three of us and Luis took incredible care of us. He was knowledgeable about the region. He also took us to some remote areas to view wildlife truly in the wild. I’ll never forget this experience! Magical.

Embark on a full-day tour to the Punta Tombo Natural Reserve from Puerto Madryn. Walk through the 3 km natural path to see the Magellanic Penguins in their natural environment during their reproductive time.

Start your day with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Puerto Madryn. Travel to the Punta Tombo Natural Reserve, located 180 km from Puerto Madryn.

Once there, walk through the 3 km natural path to see the Magellanic Penguins in their natural environment during their reproductive time. Hear the animals claming for the couples, mating, fighting for the nests, breeding the chicks, or molting their feathers, depending on the season.

With their white chests and black backs, the penguins represent a special group of land-sea fauna of Patagonia.

Optional: Depending on the weather conditions, the tour goes to Playa Union, offering the option of a dolphin watching (Commerson dolphin), sailing at the ocean, or the Paleontological Museum in Trelew. To be confirmed the day before the tour.

Very good experience! Saw lots of penguins at punta tombo and stopped in Guiman afterwords for a traditional welsh tea. Guide was very knowledgeable and funny!
