A private driver will pick you up from your accommodations in Warsaw in a Mercedes vehicle, comfortable for 1 up to 6 passengers. They will then take you to Treblinka for a half-day tour. During this 3-hour tour, the local English-speaking guide will introduce you to the atmosphere of this dramatic place. The Treblinka extermination camp was created on the order of Reichsführer SS Heinrich Himmler in 1942. However, from 1940 there was a penal camp for the Polish population (‘Treblinka I’) in the northern part of the Warsaw District, which in 1941 was transformed into a labor camp. In the vicinity of ‘Treblinka I’, the death camp called ‘Treblinka II’ was established to perform mass extermination of Jewish men, women, and children. The camp in Treblinka was second after the Auschwitz-Birkenau in terms of the number of victims killed in stationary gas chambers using flue gases and during mass executions. Among the victims, are Jews, Poles, and many other nationalities. The Germans directed transports from ghettos in occupied Poland to the camp, including the Warsaw Ghetto. Currently, in the area of the camp, the Museum of Struggle and Martyrdom was built. While visiting the camp in Treblinka, you can visit the exhibition dedicated to the extermination camp. A monument built in 1964 commemorates Treblinka and its victims. After sightseeing and lunch, the driver will take you back to Warsaw and drop you off at your chosen location.

if Auschwitz–Birkenau is the complex place of the museum display of the Shoah (sometimes necessarily inevitable), and this could approximately sterilize its inhumanity, Treblinka is the precise moment of pain and emotion (sometimes due to necessary urgency) in individual meditation, still before historical awareness. visiting the Treblinka extermination camp is the only antidote to mass tourism. it is the place, but above all the instant, in which Memory becomes an active agent of Knowledge and Awareness, and where the method of "event", "research" and "museumisation" is an authentic project curated by artists, architects and historians. it is an unmissable visit. we were lucky enough to be accompanied by an 80 year old guide, a true gentleman, perfect, precise and very rich in historical knowledge about "his" Poland. It is thanks to Him that we will always carry emotion, kindness and testimony within us. thank you very much.

Visiting the Treblinka camp was a deeply moving experience, enriched by our exceptional guide. His knowledge allowed us to understand the extent of the horrors committed. The private tour offered us more personal interaction and detailed explanations. Without original structures, the symbolic site encourages us to reflect on the past tragedy. The monuments and commemorative plaques force you to imagine the scale of the events, making the visit even more poignant. Thank you to our guide for his passion in transmitting this essential story.

Jan is an excellent guide and his knowledge of Treblinka is impressive! We had a fabulous time on this private tour. Communication between customer and getyourguide and driver should be improved.
