What People Are Saying About Trajan's Column
Enjoyed this tour on our first night in Rome. It was great seeing some of the sights such as the forum before it got dark and then we were first in for the night time tour of the Colosseum. Very informative guide and everything went very smoothly.
This tour was the best. We have visited the colosseum previously with a tour but this was much better. Seeing it in the evening when it is otherwise closed meant no crowds and it was cooler temps therefore more enjoyable. Also seeing the underground was really neat and well worth the cost. We took the 7PM tour which was the perfect combination because we saw the colosseum in the daylight then the sun gradually set to give it a different look and feel. Definitely would recommend this tour.
Brilliant and wonderful tour guide, amazing and beautiful sites - all from dawn until night! What's not to love? Our tour started out around dawn while the sun was still up with a nice, brief tour of one of Rome's historical hot spot areas. As the tour progressed, we gradually made our way to the Colosseum where we got to explore the ancient wonder at night! I do not know why the lines are not as long for the night tour as they are for the daytime trip - it was an amazing experience. Plus - the Colosseum is well lit and you can see anything and everything. Would definitely go on this tour again!
The tour is 2 hours long but you actually only get 45 minutes in the Colleseum, the rest of the time is spent walking around the area for an insight into the history. The guide was extremely knowledgable and provided constant and interesting detail of all of the areas, buildings and historical events. Doing the tour at night means the area is still busy but you are not overwhelmed by other tourists. Entering the Colleseum when no others are inside is a must to take in the detail, the underground area is also an added bonus! All in all a great informative tour but a little expensive for the amount of time you actually spend, hence the four star rating.
