Explore the area around Uyuni on a 3-day tour. See handicrafts made of salt, stop at the Flags of the World, and visit the Chiguana Desert. Day 1 Meet your guide in Uyuni and begin your 3-day adventure. Head to the Train Graveyard, a cemetery full of abandoned trains. Stop at the small settlement of Colchani, which housed salt miners, and shop for handicrafts made of salt and textile art made of llama and alpaca fiber. Next, visit a hotel and museum made entirely out of salt. Bring your country's flag and place it at the Flags of the World, and stop at the Monument to Dakar racing. For an added fee, visit Incahuasi Island, a former island in the middle of the salt flats. Then, pose for some fun perspective- and proportion-distorted photos taken against the backdrop of the striking white surface of the salt flats. Finally, head to a spacious area for the unique experience of seeing a beautiful sunset over the salt flats, spreading its dazzling colors all over the Uyuni Salt Flats, and enjoying it with a glass of wine. First Night: Agencha 2/3/4/5/6-bed rooms + communal bathrooms. Day 2 Begin with an early breakfast before heading to Chiguana Desert. Stand surrounded by volcanoes and marvel at the still-active Ollagüe Volcano. Then, continue along the rocky road El Pasito Tuntun to reach the beautiful lagoons of Cañapa, Hedionda, and Chiarcota. Keep an eye out for the brilliantly colored flamingoes standing in the lagoons. Stop to enjoy lunch before heading to Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve (entry not included). Visit Siloli Desert and see the Rock Tree lava rock formation. Continue to Huayllajara, stopping at the Red Lagoon overlook point to see flamingos relaxing in the intense red colors of the lake. Second Night: Huayllajara Shared 6 –bed room (Same Group at the jeep car) + communal bathrooms. Day 3 Get off to an early start around 5:00 a.m. to visit the Sol de Mañana Geyser (5,000m) and walk next to fumaroles and steaming craters filled with boiling pots of mud at 150-200 Cº. then, have the opportunity to take a bath in an open air Hot Springs at a 35 Cº water. The next places to appreciate are the Dali Desert Marvel at the vivid colors of the Green and White Lagoons, created from the toxic copper water at the foot of the Licancabur Volcano. Then, head back to San Pedro de Atacama in Chile. Cross the Bolivian border with the help of your tour guide and finish your adventure at San Pedro de Atacama’s main square.

Then, arrive at Colchani village to appreciate the salt production and take a short walk through the artisanal market and the museum. Later, the immense Uyuni Salt Flats. Along the trip, visit: Salt eyes, Salt Hotel-Museum (Built entirely of salt blocks), Dakar Monument, Flags of the world, and finally, arrive at Incahuasi Island to appreciate the beautiful view and the giant cactus. At the end of the day, take your time in the sunset with a glass of wine, and get to the hostel for dinner time. Day Three / Chiguana + Ollague lookout point + Andean lagoons with flamingoes + Red lagoon After breakfast, go to visit the famous lagoons: Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiarcota, with a lot of flamingoes. Later, an exquisite lunch, Siloli desert, Stone Tree. At the final of the day, arrive at Red Lagoon which is inhabited by numerous flamingos. Finally, head to the hostel in the community of “Huayllajara” to have dinner, and night rest. Day Four / Geysers Sol de Mañana + Hot Springs Pool + Lookout point Green lagoon - White lagoon - Lincancabur Volcano + Transfer to San Pedro de Atacama Early morning, after breakfast, go to "Sol de Mañana" geysers and enjoy a fantastic view along the way; this place has volcanic activity such as fumaroles and geysers (holes of bubbling mud, smoking, and a smell of sulfur). Also, visit the hot springs of Polques to take a bath and relax enjoying the most beautiful landscape. Then, the Salvador Dali Desert which offers spectacular views and multicolored rock formations of the volcanoes. Later, go up to the viewpoint of the Green Lagoon, White Lagoon, and Lincancabur Volcano. Finally, tour Guides will assist customers with their border crossing at 10:00 a.m. and people will arrive in San Pedro at 1:30 p.m. The drop-off is at San Pedro de Atacama’s main square. Explore the famous Uyuni Salt Flats on a Jeep tour from Uyuni. After your hotel pickup, head out to the iconic train cemetery, where all trains ended up once the local railroad company went out of business. Walk in and out of abandoned carriages, see leftover railroads, and more. Then, go to the town of Colchani on the outskirts of the salt flats. This small town survives from the sale of salt souvenirs and hand woven textiles. Locals also extract salt and process it for consumption - a process you can observe. Afterwards, enter the salt flats and drive towards the first salt hotel ever built. It no longer serves as a hotel but you can still see it standing proud, with its crystalline white walls, tables, and chairs - all made out of salt. Then, head to the Incahuasi, or Fish Island, where giant cacti grow up to 12 meters tall. Enjoy lunch here before trying your hand at snapping those iconic distance and size perception pictures on the salt flats. Finally, head back to Uyuni.

Start your tour off at 10:30 am with a drive out to the Uyuni Salt Flats. The first stop is the haunting "Train Graveyard’, which is found on the outskirts of Uyuni. Get to see the first locomotives in Bolivia, and learn about their history, that connected several major cities. Now, corroded over time from the strong salt winds that run through this desert area, this makes for a great photo setting. Then visit the small settlement of Colchani (salt miners’ workshops next to the salt flats), there, also find handicrafts made of salt, and textile art manufactured of llama and alpaca wool. These make excellent souvenirs to bring back home. Take photos as you cruise along the vast white expanse of salt, wade through “Ojos de Agua Salada” (salt water eyes), also visit: a hotel made completely out of salt which is currently used as a museum, Flags of the world (Where you can bring yours and put there for free) and a Monument of Dakar racing. After a morning of exploration, Lunch will be served near “Isla Incahuasi” (Fish Island), following, have time to take a hike to the top of the island to see giant cacti, and rock formations made of petrified coral. Next, take time to organize your group for fun perspective- and proportion distorted photos, set on the blinding white surface of the salt flats, playing around with the scene, you can be sure to take some funny, and memorable shots! Finally, head to a spacious area for the unique experience of seeing a beautiful sunset over the salt flats, spreading its dazzling colors all over the salt flats, enjoying it with a glass of wine. Finally, return to Uyuni Town at 07:15 p.m.

Upon entering the Salt Flats, see a very unusual geological effect—aquifers formed by underground rivers within the vast Salar. Head to Flags Square, where you can find flags from countries worldwide. See the Dakar Monument and enjoy lunch at the first hotel made entirely of salt. Spend some time taking panoramic, perspective, and mirror reflection photos. In the afternoon, arrive at Incahuasi Island, the largest island in the salt flats. Here, find coral fossils and giant cacti, and observe the Tunupa Volcano. Later, observe the sunset over the pink-blurred horizon of the salt flats, then arrive at your salt hostel accommodation. Day 2: Salt Flats - Huayllajara After breakfast, move to San Juan, a small village where you can buy snacks for the day and use the restrooms. As you enter the desert region, observe the active Ollagüe Volcano, which is sacred to indigenous communities. Continue driving to the Andean lagoons of Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiarcota, and Honda. Wildlife such as pink flamingos, Andean ducks, and seagulls are easy to photograph here. Lunch will be served near Laguna Hedionda. After lunch, enter one of the driest deserts on earth, the Siloli Desert, located at 6,000 meters above sea level. This place is home to the famous Stone Tree. Enter the most visited national park in Bolivia, the Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve. The day doesn’t end until you visit the Red Lagoon and see the pink flamingos living there. After this, head to your accommodation in Huayllajara town. Day 3: Huayllajara - San Pedro de Atacama Wake up very early to observe the sunrise at the Sol de Mañana Geysers. Then, head to Polkes Hot Springs, where you can swim in thermal waters. Head to the Dali Desert, a surreal destination that resembles the iconic paintings of Salvador Dalí. Later, visit the Green Lagoon, located next to the Licancabur Volcano, a natural border with Chile. After migration control, assist with the transfer to San Pedro de Atacama in Chile.

Start your day with a pick-up from your hotel in Uyuni and head to the Uyuni Salt Flats, one of the most famous landscapes in the world. Make a brief stop at the Train Cemetery, full of rusty locomotives where time has stood still since the 1940s. Stop in Colchani, the town located on the edge of the salt flat, where you can visit a salt processing plant and learn about the main properties of this product, and the artisanal wares which are made from it. At midday, enter the enormous salt flat which is the same size as Hawaii's 'Big Island'. As you tour the salt flat, witness the process of salt extraction and enjoy a delicious local meal in this unique natural environment. Once you have regained your strength, visit Incahuasi Island, famous for its giant cacti. Here you'll have 40 minutes of free time to take photos to be the envy of your friends. The finishing touch to this brilliant adventure is watching the glowing rays of sunset being reflected in the salt flat. This is a sight you will never forget. Finally, end your trip as you return to your hotel in Uyuni. Note: During the months of January to April, the climatic phenomenon known as highland winter occurs, a rainy period in the central Andes. Due to this, it is possible that the described itinerary will be modified and Incahuasi Island will not be visited, since it is located in the center of the salt flat, a place where there is a greater concentration of water during the rainy period.

Day 1: This day will start with pick up from your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama, we will drive to the border of Chile and Bolivia. Then we will change vehicles. We will visit places in the Bolivian altiplano such as Laguna Blanca and Laguna Verde, which are located at the foot of the Licancabur volcano. Then we will visit the desert of Salvador Dali, the hot springs of Polques and the geysers of Sol de Mañana. We will finish the day at Laguna Colorada, where we will see many flamingos, and then we will head to our lodge to rest. Day 2: This day we will start having breakfast, we will go to Tomas Lakha in this place we will be able to see pre-Inca cave paintings. Then we will go to Italia Perdida, a place where the volcanic rock took the form of an abandoned city. Then we will go to the Vinto and Catal lagoons, where we will be able to see the typical fauna of the Bolivian Altiplano. Afterwards we will visit the Anaconda Canyon and the Sora Canyon, finishing the excursion we will go to our hotel in Colcha K to rest. Day 3: This day we will wake up very early and start our tour with the visit of the sunrise in the Salar de Uyuni. Then we will go to the Incahuasi Island, this is a limestone rock formation located in the center of the salt flat, from where we will have a perspective of the salt flat. Then we will visit the Salt Museum and leave through the town of Colchani. From this place we will move to Uyuni, passing by the train cemetery, where we will make a stop to take some pictures. In Uyuni we will say goodbye to our guide, who accompanied us during these three days, then we will have some free time for lunch and get to know the city. Then we will stop in Villamar for dinner and rest. Day 4: This day we will wake up very early to continue our journey and reach the border of Chile and Bolivia. We will change vehicles to return to San Pedro de Atacama.
