Sustainability and conservation: Tortuga Bay in Galapagos

Departing in the morning from your hotel, you will be transferred to Tortuga Bay, which is only 45 minutes away by car. Tortuga Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches in the archipelago, with turquoise waters perfect for taking pictures and cooling off. During the trip, you will come across Playa Brava, an area known for its strong waves ideal for surfing. On the other hand, Playa Mansa, to the west, is a gentler region. Here you will have the opportunity to contribute to the conservation of these vulnerable ecosystems by spending some of your free time collecting microplastics from the beach. You will be given a handmade strainer made by local artisans as a form of support. Return to your hotel and Puerto Ayora at your convenience.

Excellent day thanks to our wonderful guide Dario who gave us very precise explanations on the local fauna and flora: turtles, hammerhead sharks, iguanas, mangroves, palosanto trees… no longer have any secrets for us! The lava tunnel is very impressive and the giant turtles fascinating. Dario is extremely educational and attentive with his guests and his English is excellent. He is also learning French! A huge thank you to Dario for this wonderful day in his company in the middle of all the wonders of the Galapagos Islands!

The tours were super good, and with good English-speaking guides. Everything was well planned, and Juan, who we had contact with throughout the week, was very helpful. However, you should not expect to stay in luxury hotels, as 2/3 of the hotels you stay at are very local hotels and with employees who cannot speak English. But all in all, I think you got to see all sides of the Galapagos and that it was a very good solution to book this tour instead of having to book everything separately yourself.

Everything was just great. I have asthma and need a new hip (aged 60) but I managed everything. The first day our flight was delayed but they fitted the Charles Darwen research Centre and museum on the 3rd day. Staff great with on line Whatapps regularly to inform u about the next day. Pick ups, netting points and what you need to take. Snorkelling was amazing and we saw so many animals and different bitds. Good value and a great way to see Santa Cruz and 5 different tours.
