The Bata Shoe Museum is a great experience for Mom and Daughter's Day. You can combine the pass with the Textile and the Gardiner Museum if you wish, for a better deal. The visit was smooth and pleasant, the organizers gave enough time in between visits , so it is easy to keep social distance. Considering Canada as an official bilingual country, I was expecting the info and descriptions to be also in French not only in English. You can admire different piece of shoes' art in multiple colors, materials and learn a lot about history and countries' traditions. Due to the pandemic all the activities inside the Museum have been suspended, but visit was still enjoyable!
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Lunch at the Sheraton was excellent. Lovely views and as much food and choice as you could wish for. The boat trip was the highlight not to be missed. Niagara on the Lake was picturesque and would have liked a bit longer there instead of the wine tasting. Graham the driver was excellent. Fred the tour guide was very informative and kept things going on what was a very busy day. Total admiration for his easy going professionalism when interacting with the 3 individuals who thought it was humorous to be late returning to the coach at every single stop. A great trip.
The tour was great. Pickup was just a little late but it was easy to call and confirm the driver was on his way. The tour guide was very nice, knowledgeable and informative. I wish we had a little more time at the falls and Niagara on the Lake, but overall it was well worth it. We're definitely going back in the future and spending more time now that we know what is there.
The actual tour itself was excellent, actually 5 stars. However, due to a bus pickup change at the Greyhound Terminal on Bay Street, I almost missed the tour. :( I waited at the designated place, but the bus didn't show up there. Had I not taken the initiative to ask, I would definitely have missed the tour. Not cool.
Apparently they lock the elevator at night and I was locked downstairs on the platform of the falls. I was told that the 2 elevator cameras cannot see everything. It was a nice experience until this happened.
