Full description
Tour one of Toronto's newest and oldest landmark locations - popular with tourists and locals alike. The Distillery District's Victorian buildings and cobblestone streets are steeped in history, and are today lined with hip indie restaurants, bars, boutiques, galleries, outdoor sculptures and theaters.  On the tour, you will explore the largest and best preserved collection of Victorian industrial architecture in North America. The story of a young, inebriated city collides with the rise of the Gooderham and Worts Distillery, their families and so much more. Spend an hour with one of the expert, enthralling guides who will tell you stories of business intrigue, a drunk city and the company that became the world's largest distillery. The tour includes a visit to Mill Street Brewery for a brief talk.

Michelle McLeod was absolutely fantastic. Knowledgeable, personable, perfect injection of humor amongst historical facts, she made the tour so much fun. Chocolate followed by beer was a great finish to the hour tour. A must tour.... we will tell our friends. Do not give them more chocolate and/or beer! Lol! Thank you Michelle!

    Really enjoyed this tour!

Even in the rain, this tour was great. Our guide Erik mostly kept us inside which was appreciated. He was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the history of Toronto and in particular the distillery district, that it was infectious. We loved this tour and very much recommend. As a side note, we booked the group tour and ended up getting a private one as we’ve hit Toronto just outside of tourist season.

There was only myself and my husband with our guide Kaylee (sorry if spelt wrong) She was absolutely amazing. Her passion for the area was second to none, and she took us back in time telling us the history. What a great area to have in Toronto. Definitely a highlight of our trip. Thanks Kaylee for sharing your knowledge and taking us on an amazing time in history.
