Top of the Rock: So much more than the views
One World Trade Center might offer New York's highest observation deck, but the city's most beloved views can be seen from the Rockefeller Center and Empire State Building. Both offer their own Art Deco charm, but here's what else Top of the Rock's got!
1. A three-story deck
The Top of the Rock observation deck spans three stories, with each adding its own unique touches to the views over Central Park and the Empire State Building!
2. Installations
In line with J.D. Rockefeller Jr.'s patronage of the arts, the views aren't all there is to see at the top! Currently featured is the dazzling "Radiance Wall" created by Swarovski.
3. The way up
The doors close and the lights go dim. Suddenly the top clears to reveal the inner workings of the dramatically lit elevator shaft as you hurtle upwards! The way down's great too!
4. Colors
Visiting with kids? Be sure to check out Top of the Rock's Breezeway attraction. They'll have great fun changing the colors of the room with their every move!
5. One of Manhattan's liveliest locations
Hands down the best reason to visit the Top of the Rock is the hub of culture swimming at its feet. The Rockefeller Center is a must-do on any New York tourist itinerary!

What are the opening times?
The Top of the Rock Observation Deck is open daily from 8AM till midnight. The last elevator to the top departs at 11PM.
How much does it cost?
Ticket prices start at $30 for adults, with concessions for children and seniors. Tickets are available to buy at the entrance, but book online to avoid the lines.

With the New York Explorer pass, we selected the 7 most important sights. Then I started planning the days. I got to know the subway and bus transportation in New York and planned where and how to go. Now I’m nearing the end and enjoying it more and more. I’ve been to the U.S. several times, but I’ve avoided big cities by far so far. However, I was in almost every National Park. I think we will enjoy that too.
We had a similar pass for San Francisco last summer. It's so nice to have options and to be able to skip lines. The hint to go to the Rose Center entrance of the American Museum of Natural History was outstanding! Long lines due to the holidays and a Kwanza celebration but walked right in the side entrance.
It was exactly what it said it was. Tickets for top of the rock. With so many scam sites out there I was skeptical about the authenticity of this site, it just seemed generic, but everything worked as said for top of the rock.
Amazing! Super fast entry but unavoidable queues inside. Definitely recommend grabbing your tickets once you arrive to the city. This will ensure you get the time slot you want for whichever day/time you choose.
Amazing value! Easy to use! The best for me was buying it several months ahead of my trip and getting here to have our excursions already paid for.
