A great chance to see something completely different!

This small group tour was a great way to see an area completely different from the rest of Siem Reap and its surrounding temples. We cruised down the river, past fishermen painting their boats and families doing the daily thing. Emerging out onto the lake was incredible, that's when we saw the real floating village. Kids with snakes, a crocodile farm, even another gift shop out on the lake, with a great upstairs platform for a wider view. The Tara Riverboat itself was lovely and the hammocks were popular with us. Our guide for the tour was wonderful, we could tell that he really loves his job! He was so attentive with topping us up with our delicious dinner and drinks. We didn't get much of a sunset, but on the way back up the river, we got the best lightning show ever instead. There is the odd beggar and kids with snakes asking for a dollar for a photo, so if they can make money in exchange for us invading their privacy, then hopefully everyone is happy. A fascinating tour.

a lovely relaxing way to spend an evening

A good way to experience the lake, see a bit of the lake inhabitants way of life and beautiful sunset vista. I could do without the crocodile, etc deck stopover but realise for some it could be interesting. The stop over at the lotus farm was a nice addition. There were only a few of us on the Queen Tara for the dinner part of the tour which made it very peaceful. The boat ride back in the dark is a bit of an adventure and again gives a good glimpse into the daily life of the rivers inhabitants. I enjoyed the tour, it was professionally handled, I would recommend it.

Really lovely evening spent relaxing on a boat w/ drinks and sunset

We really enjoyed this activity. It gave us a glimpse of Cambodian life we would not otherwise have seen, specifically the floating village and lotus farms. The dinner on the boat was relaxing. The boat does not really cruise but floats along. We enjoyed sitting in the hammocks with a drink in hand, making for a very pleasant experience. The dinner includes simple dishes, and was filling although some people opted to diner after (it’s also an early dinner). I would recommend this activity highly - very relaxing.

A must try! We had a chance to see Cambodia's sunset w/ our bare eyes!

A must try! Me and My friends love to travel and we are very eager to see sunrise/ sunsets and stargaze in different parts of the world but Sunset in Ton Le Sap Lake was awesome, at first we feared that we would not have sunset because it's raining so hard in some part of Siem Reap but luckily! as we expected and thank God, The Sky allows us to see it. We had a chance to see Cambodia's sunset w/ our bare eyes! good view but food is not enough. haha! luckily we still had fruits left.
