Full description
Located in the center of Tokyo, Tokyo Tower is one of the city's most iconic landmarks, built in 1958. Situated near the JR line station, Hamamatsucho, it's convenient to get to from anywhere in the city. The tower's bright red color makes it stand out from nearby buildings during the day and beautiful light-scapes at night make this landmark a truly breathtaking sight 24/7. The lighting concept is designed by the world-famous lighting designer Ishii Shogo, and the lighting time is between sunset and midnight. The color of the light changes in the seasons: burning bright white in the summer, and orange in the spring, autumn, and winter. The tower has a large observation deck at 490 feet and a special observation deck at 820 feet. It offers panoramic views of the city and even Mount Fuji on sunny days. In addition to the entrance of the observatory, there is also a themed aquarium and a variety of souvenirs available for purchase.

Very easy to purchase tickets through the app and the exchange process at the destination was easy also. Make sure you book well in advance so you can get access to the highest deck. On the main floor it is very hard to take photos at night due to all the ambient lighting from cafes, gift shops and toilets etc. It also gets quite busy. Great views at night though.

Showed QR code to ticket desk and they directed me to the line where someone scanned it with a tablet (English language friendly). It's possible to take the stairs on the way down and on the way up I think. Pretty nice walk down inside the metallic structure outside. It's really a beautiful location and quite different than the Skytree.
