Robert was wonderful! Highly recommend tour guide, he was so kind and knowledgeable. It was a fantastic way to experience the market and gain some insight and background knowledge of everything. Could not fault Robert, he was fabulous and I’m so grateful to have spent wonderful time with him. But as far as the tour company goes, just be aware the company books the tour to run on all days, including wed/sun and on public holidays (which I got caught out with by going on a public holiday Monday) when the indoor market and some stores in the outdoor market are closed (it’s written in the “additional information” area of the booking page but it’s not spelled out anywhere else)

  • There is a moderate amount of walking involved in this tour
  • The minimum drinking age is 20
  • Unfortunately we do not accommodate to vegetarian, halal, or gluten-free requests.
  • The fish market(Uogashi wholesaler market) is closed on Wednesdays, Sundays, and other closed market days.
  • On Wednesdays, Sundays, and other closed market days, Japanese omelette and Fish cake and Fruits cannot be served. Because shop is closed.
  • Depending on the day and time, we serve either sushi or seafood bowl.
  • If the restaurant is suddenly closed and cannot provide the meal, we will provide an alternative.

We tried a lot of interesting food, I think that a guided tour is probably the right way to do Tsukiji considering it is very crowded. I would recommend saving some time after the tour to go back and hit places that interested you. Of additional note, the guide was very understanding and I was able to join the tour part way through after I screwed up my trains and missed the actual start. A+
