This was so much fun and so interesting. We got to hear lots about the area and also enjoy various snacks on the walk around, before eating a delicious seafood bowl. Our guide, Nori, was interesting and fun, and the tour didn't feel rushed, with stops for everyone if there was something that they found interesting. Really good fun.

GYG map directions really helped us to get to the start point on time. Great welcome and introduction from our guide Yuki. Only 4 people in the group, so very personal. Great knowledge of the history of the fish market. Not rushed, so plenty of time to soak up the atmosphere and see everything. A couple of snacks throughout the tour and then restaurant for sashimi at the end. Highly recommended.

  • There is a moderate amount of walking involved in this tour
  • The minimum drinking age is 20
  • Unfortunately we do not accommodate to vegetarian, halal, or gluten-free requests.
  • The fish market(Uogashi wholesaler market) is closed on Wednesdays, Sundays, and other closed market days.
  • On Wednesdays, Sundays, and other closed market days, Japanese omelette and Fish cake and Fruits cannot be served. Because shop is closed.
  • Depending on the day and time, we serve either sushi or seafood bowl.
  • If the restaurant is suddenly closed and cannot provide the meal, we will provide an alternative.

Robert was wonderful! Highly recommend tour guide, he was so kind and knowledgeable. It was a fantastic way to experience the market and gain some insight and background knowledge of everything. Could not fault Robert, he was fabulous and I’m so grateful to have spent wonderful time with him. But as far as the tour company goes, just be aware the company books the tour to run on all days, including wed/sun and on public holidays (which I got caught out with by going on a public holiday Monday) when the indoor market and some stores in the outdoor market are closed (it’s written in the “additional information” area of the booking page but it’s not spelled out anywhere else)
