Full description

At three award-winning ramen shops, sample 6 completely different mini bowls of delicious ramen. These mini bowls are approximately 1/4 the size of full ramen bowls and are only available on this tour. You'll even get get to choose the 6 ramen from a selection of 11-12. Via colorful slides and handouts, you'll also learn all about ramen, from its history to its preparation. The tour will take place in three unique Tokyo neighborhoods, including Shibuya or Shinjuku. SHIBUYA Route Ramen: Shop 1: Classic Hokkaido Ramen Shop 2: Fusion Tonkotsu (Pork Bone) Ramen Shop 3: Savory Curry Ramen SHINJUKU Route Ramen: Shop 1: Classic Tokyo Ramen Shop 2: Modern Tori Paitan (Rich Chicken Ramen) Shop 3: Luxurious Chicken or Fish Ramen - Please note that all ramen shops blend chicken, pork, and fish into their ramen soup. We have a separate vegan vegetarian ramen tasting tour as well.

I love Ramen, but as an American I knew I was probably only scratching the surface of what’s out there. This tour met all my expectations and exceeded them - Bunga was an amazing, informative , and fun guide , I learned the history of Ramen and about different styles from all over Japan , and got to try things I’d never seen before like squid ink Ramen, curry Ramen , and even pesto in addition to the classics Tonkotsu and salty miso. Amazing tour for anyone who wants to learn more about Ramen while exploring a cool , safe Tokyo neighborhood and try some amazing bowls. Highly recommend .
