A Japanese style pub known as Izakaya is a type of Japanese pub in which a variety of small, typically inexpensive dishes and snacks are served to accompany the alcoholic drinks. Izakaya are places where Japanese people close the distance and bond. Let's get to know each other and enjoy drinking together!

Edamame, yakitori, gyoza, karaage, potato salad, tamagoyaki, and oshinko (pickled vegetables like cucumbers and carrots) are standard menu items where you can enjoy Japanese cuisine. But you might also find unique originals that are only available at that specific restaurant!

In this tour, English-speaking university students participate as guides, they will explain the joys of Izakaya to you. While interacting with the students, participants are introduced to the real side of Japan which are not seen in tourist spots, as lived by local university students. We will visit unique local Izakaya and enjoy popular local beverages.

Rather than visiting the same places every time, participants will enjoy once-in-a-lifetime encounters. This provides an opportunity to deeply understand Japan through its genuine food culture and conversations with university students, an experience not possible on typical personal trips. Since the tour takes you to places frequented by the locals instead of tourist-oriented spots, participants can feel a closer connection to Japan.
