What people are saying about Tokyo

Brilliant afternoon in the local neighbourhoods of Tokyo.

Andy is a genuine and passionate guide who runs an established small business in the neighbourhoods of Nakano and Koenji in Tokyo! I got to try some delicious snacks and explore areas I'm not sure I would've seen without him. It was great hearing a local's perspective and learning about life while walking the streets. Andy was very knowledgeable and gave our small group a great insight into local Tokyo life and his experiences living in the city. I found so many great little gems both during and after our tour and Andy followed up with some awesome suggestions for the remainder of my trip! Highly recommend booking a tour with Andy if you'd like to see a different side of Tokyo!

Thank you Taka! Such an interesting tour

A very instructive tour , and fantastic experience . Not only we learned so much historical facts as our guide Taka was so knowledgeable , but we were also given a lovely tour of the area from alongside the river , taken for an amazing view at the top of the contemporary information building ( The design and architecture of it in itself very interesting ) . This was followed by a tour of very charming and authentic back streets in the vicinity . We learned so much and we were lucky to have Taka for ourselves as he did not have other bookings that morning . A big Origato Kata , you made a memorable moment of our time with you .

Fantastic ride through the local neighbourhoods of Tokyo.

If you're looking to escape the tourist hubs and get a real local insight into the neighbourhoods of Tokyo, Andy's bike tour is a must! I really enjoyed exploring the back streets and hearing about life in the different neighbourhoods we ventured through. The selection of food was both authentic and delicious, and the stop at the standing noodle bar for lunch was quite the experience. Andy does a great job making everyone feel welcome and connects to the group on a personal level. One of favourite memories from the trip, highly recommended!

Kiri showed us the real Tokyo, bustling as city and with food !!

The nice thing about a tour like this is the company of people that enjoy the same universal thing around the world : good food. Kirir as a guide was enthusiastic, answered all questions and introduced us to yakitori, japanese sweets, okonomiyaki and more, including an extra melon bread at the end. Also the stop at Tsukiyima is a place that for most tourists will not be on the map for a few days in this great city. So : well worth doing this !!!

Probably the top tour that I'd recommend in Japan.

We're not tour people but we thought since we were traveling with our 8 and 9-year-old sons it might be fun to book a couple of tours on this trip. We booked this one, a fish market tour and a cycling tour of Kyoto. All four of us agreed that this was the best tour. Walking around, trying a bunch of foods, getting informed but not bored to death, this was a fabulous time. Really, just a ton of fun. We never felt rushed.
