Make the most of the walking trails here, taking in a view of the falls from several different vantage points. What people are saying about Tjörnes Peninsula

Excellent tour with five beautiful stops! Our guide Kjertain had wonderful commentary to explain what we would be seeing. His English was perfect and he was very informative and personable. There was plenty of time to see and experience each site and to take photos. Our driver Johan was also very pleasant and willing to share his knowledge once we were parked. The guide was aware many of us were scheduled to be on a cruise ship in the afternoon and was very reassuring along the way that we would be back in plenty of time, which is exactly what happened. The tour was well worth its price! What a great experience to see that natural beauty of Iceland on this bus tour. We were in good hands with our guide and driver. Thanks!

I think I’m completely in love with Akureyri. I write this sitting in my home in London, missing be Akureyri like missing a loved one. This tour is incredible, I had the best time, our guide was an absolute joy. Please don’t miss this trip. It’s very well organised, plenty of stops to go to the toilet and get a drinks. Tip : there are area with a lot flies called nats, I think they’re harmless but very annoying, so buy one of those nets you can over your head.

The guide, unfortunately I forgot his name, was absolutely great. Funny, enormous background knowledge, not just the standard info and lots of anecdotes. Despite the overall long journey time, the whole thing was extremely entertaining, even for our children.

I would especially like to mention Runat Juliusson, our guide. He made the day trip an experience. A great tour guide!!!

A worthwhile excursion with a very committed guide and a very nice driver. Only the tourist attractions are very busy.
