The day we went on a Saturday morning there was no need to purchase a “skip the skip the line ticket”. The Villa is Not ADACompliant like in the states be prepared. Also, going independently there are No direct trains to Tivoli. They are all local. Then walk, follow the signs..

Villa D'Este was just breath taking. it was the perfect oasis for our first visit to Tivoli. A stunning romantic setting, a perfect setting for us as we were celebrating our 36th wedding anniversary ❤️ We found the audio guide a little drab and feel that having something with a little more character and charm would have made it more enjoyable to listen to. Our overall experience was well worth the visit and would highly recommend a visit. Villa Adriana has a different feel all together but still well worth a visit, amazing views particularly at the view point of Rocca Bruna, a full 360 of the most breath taking views. It is a testament to the amazing architectural skills of the people from that era, that it can be admired by so many people from all over the world thousands of years later.

Loved both attractions, however was not aware that I had to use the voucher on the 1st day nominated for the 3 day pass. Couldn’t book time on line for Villa d’Este so visited it 1 hour before closing and was advised then. We went in saw the villa, then paid entrance again the next day to see the gardens.
