Mykonos Hiking Adventure

1. Mykonos Hiking Adventure

Benefit from pick-up at your hotel or the cruise ship port at 08:30, and then head for the traditional farm of Mykonian Spiti in the village of Ano Mera. Receive your hiking equipment, including backpack, water bottle, a small food parcel and traditional hook or stem-style walking stick for your support. Study the route you will take and discuss your objectives before taking a little tour of the cabbage garden and to meet the farm animals. Depart for your hike at 09:15 with a drive to Maou farm, where you can fill your water bottles and, depending on the season, taste some fresh produce such as tomatoes, cucumbers, grapes, figs and pears. Cross the narrow streets of Maou between cultured estates and traditional homes, and observe the amateur local fishermen at the edges of the lake's dam. By 10:30 you should arrive at a panoramic point of the dam, 4.1 kilometers from the starting point. Take a short rest before hiking to the beach of Mirsinis for a swim in the sea. Having traveled a total distance of 5.1 kilometers your hike ends or is about to get a bit more challenging, depending on your chosen option! Option A: Choose this option and the itinerary ends at Mirsinis, where you can enjoy a swim in the sea. At around 13.30, you will be driven back to your accommodation or the Mykonian Spiti for lunch (if option chosen). Option B: For those continuing the hike, take a short break of 15 minutes, and then embark on the most difficult path as you face the challenge of "The Wind," 6.1 kilometers from the starting point. See the islands of Ikaria, Samos and Tinos from panoramic viewpoints, aiming to arrive at "The Wind" by around 13:00. Enjoy a longer rest if necessary, and then head to an estate 7.3 kilometers from the starting point. Pass a farm with horses and picturesque buildings to reach your lunch spot on a terrace. Eat in the shade of large eucalyptus trees and give your feet a rest. Then, continue to the finishing point at the shipyards of Elm, where you will have traveled a total of 9.8 kilometers from the starting point. Benefit from pick-up at 14:00, when a car will take you back to the Mykonian Spiti.

What people are saying about Tinos Island

It was an easy hike with an amazing guide Gibson. We stopped by for a coffee in the morning to get some energy to get us going, enjoyed tons of beautiful views, had some beach time, and just enjoyed an awesome conversation with Gibson about everything and nothing. Thank you for a relaxing day!

Francis is a great guide and speaks English very well. The tour takes you to a remote beach that is more popular with the locals. Definitely worth seeing! If you are used to taking longer walks, the tour is not a problem. Sun protection is highly recommended as there is hardly any shade.

Really chilled out walk with Gibson and two philadelphians they were nice and flexible. Learnt a bit about the culture of Greece highlight of my holiday thank you so much guys.

Amazing hike with Kalinka as a guide. She made it special. I took the option A and it was worth it. Higly recommend the tour.

Despite a rainy day, the guide was able to adapt and we took full advantage of this day
