Take a craft across Lake Argentino past blue lagoons, deep caves, and more on this full-day hike inside Perito Moreno Glacier. Explore the mountain of ice from different angles and enjoy a picnic while taking in the glacier's surreal features.
What to Expect
Begin from Bajo de las Sombras Port early in the morning and board a craft to cross the Rico Arm of Lake Argentino. After sailing for 15 minutes, the opposite shore is reached. From here, mountain guides will escort the group toward the area for crampons. Afterwards, hike toward the glacier from the southern moraine until a spectacular vantage point is reached.
This is where the true adventure begins. Explore the glacier from different perspectives and discover blue lagoons, deep and alarming cracks, huge drains and caves. Dimensions become almost unreal as you find yourself inside the core of the Perito Moreno, one of the most fascinating glaciers in the world.
Along with expert guides who explain the characteristics of the ice and its surroundings, the inside of the glacier is explored for over 4 hours. Enjoy a picnic on the ice (please bring your own) while taking in the surreal scenery.
