What People Are Saying About Tiergarten
Our tour guide was well informed and provided us with plenty of details, all in all it was a very interesting walk through the parliament quarter and we skipped the line to the Reichstag, which was of great advantage, especially for the low cost of the ticket.
Good tour - only two comments: It wasn't clear from the voucher that the bus we booked was the black and white one (there are several companies operating so a photo would have been good). Also, it was hard to get a route map online to select the nearest bus stop to hotel. All staff very friendly. Pick your guide.
The tour was spiced with comedy and hard facts. Our guide, a young man was flawless in his presentation which can best be described as world class. Never a dull moment. From his delivery of the Mother Ship CDU HQ, the KaDa We shopping complex designer goods, the unification sculpture and the Wall of Berlin to the teasing and breathless take about the Diplomatic Quarters, Potsdam high street and Ritz famous guests, German new architecture and Checkpoint Charlie amongst others. Ask for the white tour hop and off bus and especially the young bearded man and I guarantee you will not be disappointed!!!
Other buses have multiple routes to cover all the main stops and each route is about a couple of hrs and expensive than this all in one tour. So for me it gave me an opportunity to see all the main areas in one shot in less time and with a reasonable price. So I'd vote for this bus any day
The bus went pretty close to all the major sights. The guide pointed out the sights in both German and English. I understand a bit of German and as far as I could tell the descriptions were quite similar. We hopped off a few times and it was easy to get back on another bus. A convenient way to see things without quite so much walking.
