A well organized trip with an excellent tour guide. Dimitra was friendly, lively and well informed. She went the extra mile to engage with the passengers and make sure they see and hear everything. The scenery at Stagira and Mount Athos was majestic. The cruise was not too crowded and had good toilet and tea/coffee facilities. The sea food at Ouranopolis was exceptional with a beautiful view of the Sea! I would comment on two areas that need improvement. Firstly, the driver Dimitri needs to be more careful and less hasty. At some point, the journey in the van felt like a roller coaster ride! We did have another better driver in the return journey which was assuring. Secondly, a double check of the list of passengers is advisable especially if different groups are included in the same trip. Overall, I would say an enjoyable and highly recommended tour.

Full description

Accompanied by our professional guide the day starts by leaving behind the Thermaic Gulf, passing by the lakes Koronia and Volvi, heading east through the beautiful route of the Castle of Rentina where the tragic poet Euripides left his final breath. Our first point of archaeological interest is the Acropolis of Ancient Stagera, the birthplace of the worldwide known philosopher Aristoteles teacher and mentor of Alexander the Great. After the guided tour our next stop is the small town of Ouranoupolis where we will have plenty of time to for shopping and lunch before and after our Athos Cruise. After a full day of impressions, we return back to Thessaloniki,

A fantastic day: our guide Demetra was AMAZING, she knew a lot of things, she knew the *right* things, knew when to tell us, was always there for us and a lovely person human-wise. The trip was well set, well organized, the places where fantastic. A must-do, you see things you normally don't menage to see! I would go every day!
