Extraordinarily well organized and led by a very professional guide

An extremely well organized trip to Pella and Vergina. Our guide was exceptionally well prepared to inform us about all aspects of life in the Hellenistic period and of ancient Macedonia in particular. Superb museums, and above all Philip the Second's grave. An absolutely memorable experience that will stay with us for many, many years.

Great tour, great guide, great museum and achaeological sites.

First let me say unlike the tour I had to Meteora, I have no negative comments for this one. First, the Guide, Demitra (SP?), was exceptionally knowledgeable of the contents of the museum and sites and was also professional in keeping the group together and on schedule. The bus was on time from start to finish. The graves and the museum over them was incredible. Even the lunch stop was good.

did not go to the archaeological sites of pella or Vergina. only went to the museum of pella and the tomb of phillip II, which was over crowded and dark. too much personal time. lovely tour guide but tour bus smelled of smoke. had to pay for lunch and museum tickets. it was basically a taxi service!
