Spend the 6-hour day in Santorini, touring award-winning wineries and sampling the local wines. Enjoy lunch on the black lava sands of Kamari Beach before touring another winery and then to top it off, the 3,500 yr old Akrotiri Archaeological Site.
What to Expect
You and your private group will spend the day sampling and learning about wine-making techniques in Santorini, the heart of Greece's wine culture. Remember when booking request a licensed guide or the opt for the unguided tour.
Watch animated puppets re-enact the wine-making process with 17th-century equipment at the Winery Museum of Koutsougianopoulos, and visit Boutari Winery, one of the most significant wine producers in Greece. Santos Winery is 100 years old, and so romantic it can be booked for weddings and private parties.
Lunch will be at Kamari Beach, boasting beautiful black lava sands, where you will enjoy a seaside meal of authentic Mediterranean food. You can even walk the exotic beaches afterwards!
For the afternoon, you can go to another winery, Gavalas Vineyard and tasting their famous katsano wine, and then to the newly opened 3500 yr old history packed, Akrotiri Archaeological Site. (If you do not want to spend much time at the last winery and more time at the Akrotiri, just tell your guide. Upon arrival back at Fira, the capital, you will have some time left for shopping before boarding your ship.

Know Before You Go
Entrance Fees: To save tour time, please have one person from each group collect the total amount of entrance fees to provide to your guide. Fees include:
Koutsougianopoulos Wine Museum: 7 Euros
Boutari (closed Sundays): 6 Euros for tasting; 3 Euros without tasting; under 16 free entry
Santos Winery: 6 Euros for tasting, €2.6 Euros without tasting, or €1.20 per glass
Gavalas Vineyard: €0.80 per glass
Akrotiri Archaeological Site: €12, or €6 for EU seniors, patrons under 18, and active military personnel
Your guide will meet you at your hotel or at the exit of the cable car. He or she will be holding a placard with your name. Please note: Give yourself 30-40 minutes to get up from the docking boat area by tram, donkey, or foot.
Please bring sunscreen, dark glasses, a hat, water, and comfortable walking shoes.
