Treat yourself to a day-long boat trip through the caldera off the coast of Santorini. Enjoy island-hopping, hike up active volcanos, wander through quaint villages, swim in colorful waters, indulge in local cuisine, and admire the picturesque views.
What to Expect
Arrive at the Athinios Port in Santorini and step aboard the traditional boat, King Thiras, named after the surrounding region of Thira. Sit back and relax as your cruise begins an 8-hour journey through the Aegean Sea.
Your trip starts as you set sail toward the island of Nea Kameni, which is uninhabited and home to an active volcano. Climb the ascending soil path to the 130-meter-high crater and walk around the entirety of the rim. Next, head over to the neighboring island of Palea Kameni where you can swim in the green sulfur waters or bathe in the warm therapeutic mud. Continue on to Thirassia for more swimming or to enjoy a meal at one of the traditional seafront tavernas.
The final stop of the tour is the village of Oia, where you can sit peacefully and watch the sun slip into the sea. The sunset seen at this location is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful in the world.
