What to Expect
The 6-hour excursion begins with a pick-up near your accommodation followed by a drive up Profitis Ilias, the highest mountain of Santorini, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the entire island.
Afterwards you’ll visit at the prehistoric site of the lost city of Akrotiri. The city that has remained alive for 3,500 years beneath the lava tells its story to today’s visitors.
Continuing on, you’ll come to Emporio, where windmills add a unique feature to the village. The last stop is in cosmopolitan Fira, the island’s capital. Take a stroll through the town, enjoying views of the volcano.
Stop to enjoy coffee or a drink at one of the terraces overlooking the caldera, or browse some of Fira’s shops. You’ll have a chance to admire views of the sunset that hug the cliffs, before returning to your hotel.

The tour begins at 14:30 and continues until after sunset. Be sure to wear good walking shoes and bring a hat, suncream, and a bottle of water.
