Overall rating

We were in the Butterfly Valley at the beginning of September and we really liked it. Definitely worth it. We were picked up on time at the meeting point and then taken in an air-conditioned bus to the "middle" parking lot in the Butterfly Valley. The valley is beautifully situated, you can walk in two directions from the parking lot, either "up" or "down". You mostly walk in the shade of the trees along a stream and can admire the butterflies, crabs and lizards as well as beautiful waterfalls. Overall, the time was enough for us. As mentioned in the description, the entrance fee is NOT included (I don't understand why some people are upset about this...) and cost another €6 per person. You should bring sturdy shoes, as the path is a bit uneven and steep in places. You also have to climb quite a lot of stairs to get to the top.

Picked up at our hotel on small, air conditioned minibus, by friendly driver. Picked up other passengers on the way to Filerimos Hill. Lots of peacocks wandering around, new feathers still growing so no impressive tail fanning. Great views, monastery beautiful. Clean toilets. Onwards to Butterfly Valley, where we had about 2 hours to explore the upper and lower routes. Very peaceful, large crabs in the tumbling stream, butterflies mostly on trees and surrounding rocks, also saw some small lizards. Paths uneven and steep in places, so definitely need sensible shoes. Cafe and toilets at the top (needed a 50 cent Euro). We had time to do both upper and lower routes.

A nice trip to the hill and the butterfly valley. When you pay the entrance fee to the church on the hill, you can also use the toilets. In Perhoslaakso, the butterflies are at the end of the route at this time. It's worth bringing drinks and good shoes. There are many differences in height on the Perhoslaakso route. Transportation 5/5, we can recommend the trip😊

Perfect pick up, lovely driver. Great timing as we missed the big rush and got there early. Seven springs we had plenty of time to explore and enjoy also. 10/10

Excellent contact with the tour operator, driver and coach at the top. Quality excursion 😁 to do without hesitation
