The Narrows, Zion National Park

Explore the slot canyons of East Zion and ride in a UTV on this adventure tour. With a guide driving you around, sit back and enjoy the experience. Navigate through diverse terrain to reach the canyons and then hike to explore the deepest parts of these remote areas. Start with a thrilling ride in a customized off-road machine leading to a slot canyon, far from any paved roads. Once at the canyon's mouth, the hike begins. The red canyon walls stretch over 100 feet high on either side, with a gap of only 6-10 feet between the walls to hike through. Led by a guide and local expert, the tour continues on foot through the canyon while learning about Native American history and geographical information. Large boulders frequent the route, requiring climbs of 8-10 feet with the guide's assistance. After traveling the desired distance into the canyon and capturing stunning pictures of these sandstone formations, hike the same route back to the vehicle and return to the meeting location. *Please note you must be physically capable of climbing up and over 8-10ft tall boulders. This is a fairly strenuous tour.

Experience a guided tour of the Grand Canyon, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Then head on to Lower Antelope Canyon, where you can take photos of the sweeping views at this popular scenic spot. Relax knowing transportation to and from your hotel, accommodation, and breakfast is taken care of. Day 1: Begin by getting picked up at your hotel in Las Vegas. Get taken in an air-conditioned van to your first stop, the Grand Canyon. Follow your guide to the South Rim of the Canyon, the most popular viewing spot, and take in sweeping views whilst listening to informative commentary from your guide. Next, pay a visit to the new visitor’s center, where you can learn even more about the canyon. Then see the view from Mather’s point, another popular spot that offers multiple vistas. Continue on to Desert View Watchtower where you can view the entire Grand Canyon. Head to your hotel in the evening. Day 2: Begin day 2 with breakfast at your hotel. Afterward, make the drive to Page, Arizona, and visit the Lower Antelope Canyon and Zion National Park. Take plenty of photos of this natural formation where the sunlight gleams through the canyon ceiling. See breathtaking views of Lake Powell and the Horseshoe Bend, a dramatic turning in the Colorado River. Depart with your group from the town of Page back to Las Vegas in our van/tour bus.

Day 2: ANTELOPE CANYON – BRYCE CANYON Start the day as you tour the Antelope Canyon and visit the spectacular dunes created by the wind, water, and sand. Then head west to Bryce Canyon home to the most amazing natural sculptures of the world. See amazing rock and sand sculptures honed to perfection over thousands of years of rain wind and sunshine. Experience the unique changing of the colors during the sunset from one of the vista points in the park (may change due to changing sunset times). After the visit, head towards the town of Kanab where you will stay overnight at the Days Inn Kanab. On certain departures, tour will continue to Cedar City for overnight. Day 3: ZION PARK – LAS VEGAS After breakfast, head into Zion park. Tour the park and enjoy a short walking trail along the Virgin river that runs through the park. Then head back for an early evening arrival in Las Vegas.

After a full afternoon in Zion, head to Bryce Canyon, a giant natural amphitheater created by erosion, along the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau. Bryce is distinctive due to geological structures called hoodoos. These red, orange, and white spires provide spectacular views. The canyon is considered by many to be the most scenically diverse place in the world! Tuck into a BBQ and a fun evening around the campfire with your new friends. Day 2 Monument Valley(Meals: Breakfast, Lunch) Wake up early and head past Lake Powell with an optional tour of Antelope Canyon. Day 3 The Grand Canyon(Meals: Breakfast, Lunch) After a short visit to a traditional Navajo Trading Post, opt for an optional helicopter ride for a bird's eye view of the Grand Canyon. If this isn't for you, stroll along the rim or take a hike into the magnificent canyon. Listen to your guide's interesting details of this Natural Wonder of the World before enjoying plenty of time to relax and enjoy its beauty. Then, drive back to the bright lights of Las Vegas. At the next viewpoint, we’ll see the Patriarchs, a trio of mountains so gorgeous that people used to think pictures of them just had to be fake. We’ll also get insight into how the local tribes helped name the park’s best features. Ever seen an emerald-colored pool? You’ll get your chance after the Patriarchs as we swing by sparkling waterfalls and the pools at their base, which turn radiantly green during certain months of the year. As we continue to Angel’s Landing, you’ll hear all about the struggle to preserve this park. When we see Angel’s Landing itself, you’ll wonder how anyone is brave enough to make the trek! This precarious, death-defying hike is famous for its staggering views… and the danger of getting to them. Suppose the landscape seems a bit dry for you; never fear! Next is Weeping Rock, a cliff face that constantly “weeps” and gives life to a little oasis at its base. Then it’s on to The Narrows, a one-of-a-kind river hike that’s perfect for photo ops. Then, we’ll travel along the Riverwalk and hear about the ancient petroglyphs left behind by the people who once called this area home. That will bring us to East Zion, home to some of the park’s most jaw-dropping vistas, offering breathtaking sights of lush canyons and watchful mountain peaks. When we head through the Zion-Mount Carmel Tunnel, we’ll hear the full story of the conflict between the Mormons and the Paiute tribe, and then we'll learn how an ingenious Mormon engineer figured out how to transport timber from the canyon’s rim down to its base with a complex pulley system! As we make our way to the East Entrance Ranger Station, we’ll admire the baffling Checkerboard Mesa and look for the park’s famous bighorn sheep. Our tour will conclude at the ranger station.

Head north to the world-famous Route #1 where you'll get to see the spectacular California coastline up close (small vehicles will travel the southern portion of route 1 while full-size coaches will travel the 17-mile drive exclusively). Visit the town of Carmel and enjoy some free time to stroll in town before departing to reach your hotel at the Spring Hill Suites by Marriott Oakland Airport. Day 2: SAN FRANCISCO – BAY CRUISE – GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE – CHINATOWN Start your tour at the Fisherman’s Wharf with a cruise in the world-famous bay. See great views of both the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island on your way to Sausalito. Return to Pier 39 for a leisurely lunch before an afternoon tour that takes in all the city’s famous landmarks, including the Golden Gate Bridge, Union square, Chinatown, and Nob Hill. Stay overnight in Modesto. Day 3: MODESTO – YOSEMITE Summer Route: Head east through the farmlands of the Joaquin Valley to Yosemite National Park. Stay overnight at the Harrah’s Hotel. Day 5: LAS VEGAS – GRAND CANYON – PAGE Start the day traveling through the desert and through the Navajo Indian reservation before you arrive at the south bank of the Grand Canyon. After lunch, continue along the canyon east stopping at some of the Indian market places to browse the handmade arts and crafts. Then, head to the Page and Lake Powell area for the evening where you will stay at the Quality Inn View of Lake Powell. But first, you get the facts about the connection Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid have with this park! Next, you’ll visit a natural arch—one of Mother Nature’s most impressive creations. Then, it’s on to a couple of canyons guaranteed to take your breath away with their sweeping views and lush interiors. Plus, there is a mythical tale of malevolent water spirits that the Paiute once believed occupied these rivers. The final landmark on the tour is the beautiful Rainbow Point.
