Even though we had a timed ticket the queues are quite long, but they do move quite quickly, just be prepared to stand for a while. Also be prepared to open your bags for inspection. Riding the actual Eye is great fun and the views are amazing. It's so interesting to be able to look "inside" the buildings, beyond the street-level facade. I wish they provided a map either inside the pod, or via an app so you could identify the building you see.

The experience itself was great but the only thing I will give advice to everyone who wanted to do this tour is to be there early as possible. We bought a fast track ticket to avoid long que/long standing but all the standard and fast track was in the same one long que then split nearer the entrance. So kinda defeat the purpose of paying extra for fast track. Luckily it wasn't extremely busy time. So it wasn't that bad experience, in general. I would highly recommmed Getyourguide tour website. Information is great on their app.

Good overview of the city for my sister and her family's first visit to London. I have been on The London Eye several times and always found the view amazing. I would have liked an audio guide playing in our pod to let everyone know what areas they could be viewing. In the past, I thought there were small placards around the pod to show what buildings were where--our pod did not have them so unsure if it was only our pod or the placards have been removed on all pods. Otherwise, a good experience.
