1. From Aberdeen: Discover Dunnottar Castle and Royal Deeside

You travel straight from Aberdeen to one of Scotland’s archetypal structures, Dunnottar Castle. It’s a stunning fortress set on a cliff by the sea. It’s seen more battles than you’ve had cups of tea and is an essential Scottish destination. Your next stop is the Falls of Feugh. These cascading falls are mesmerising; and if you’re lucky, you may even spot a salmon jumping up the river. It’s now time for lunch in Braemar, a lovely little village in the Cairngorms National Park with royal connections and plenty of local delicacies to try. You then head to the Muir of Dinnet Nature Reserve and get the opportunity to go for a stroll. Keep your eyes peeled for otters, birds, and adders on this quintessential woodland walk. You leave the Cairngorms National Park and arrive in Aberdeen in the early evening.

It was an excellent day out. We even got chance to visit Balmoral due to high winds at Dunnottar. Doug was an excellent guide and had a wealth of interesting facts to share. There were so many interesting stop offs including the amazing burn o’vat

It was great !! Our guide , Jim , was super friendly and full of great stories to share ! Very jovial and knowledgeable! We saw everything that was promised and more ! Would definitely recommend to everyone! Thank you for a great day !

We had a brilliant trip, so glad we signed up. It gave us the opportunity to explore the area around Aberdeen.

The views were spectacular. Dunnottar castle was a bit rainy but seeing it up close was well worth it.

The guide was really good. I can’t think of anything that could have been changed to make it better.
