The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island were in my top 2 attractions in NYC (among Chicago Musical at Broadway). Otherwise I didn’t like my trip to NYC. It’s far too expensive what it offers. The people are very rude and egoistic. The city is very cold on an emotional level. The infrastructure is in a catastrophical state (subway, streets, etc.). There are homeless everywhere and the city is very loud and dirty. I am glad I could leave after 8 days of travel - because over long NYC would drive me completely nuts. I would not recommend a travel to NYC to friends. Nonetheless they would like to see a musical on Broadway or the Statue of Liberty . All the rest of NYC is exchangeable. You can find high buildings and a nice City Skyline in Shanghai, London, etc. as well. For this you do not need to go to New York. Furthermore the people in NYC are completely biased - they think their city is the greatest in the universe. Which it is NOT! Rome, Paris, etc. are far greater.
We found the pass to be worth it when we added up the costs of what we did and what it would have cost to do them by paying separately. The pdf information the pass provided on the 100 included attractions was most helpful and maybe we could have gotten that from other sources but it worked out well for us to plan our itinerary from the list of things the pass would pay for. Not all of our activities that we did in NY were covered, but that still was OK. You need to calculate how much you think you're going to do on your trip to determine if it's good for you. We did not feel like we were running all over to do things to make it worth it, but we were busy most days all day long.
Bonnie is such a wonderful lady - felt very lucky to have had her as our guide. Full of life and interesting facts and is such a great characters with brilliant energy. Did her best to get us to the front of queues and ended up doing a 7 hr tour due to the fact it was SO busy due to memorial weekend. So glad to have had Bonnie - best guide I have ever had. Very interesting tour and 9/11 memorial site very powerful indeed Only negative was we had to buy a further 20 usd to gonup Pedestal which I had thought was included.
This was hands out the best tour experience ever. There are so many complicated logistical pieces transferring ferries and walking and the entire tour felt simple and comfortable and so engaging. Leanne is amazing at sharing all sides of the viewpoints and putting you in the shoes of the people involved. Everything took on more meaning and you felt the feelings of the historical figures.
die Fahrt zur Statut of Liberty. The tickets counter was not informed how handling the Sightseeing Flex pass. It toke us about one hour to get the right ticket and queuing/Organisation/Control was to long for this kind of sightseeing. All others Activities did work so well in comparison.
