Bangkok Canal Tour with Longtail Boat

1. Bangkok Canal Tour with Longtail Boat

Enjoy a 1-hour long tail boat journey in Bangkok. Meet your guide at River City Shopping mall and visit the old city of Thonburi, an independent province until it was merged with Bangkok in 1971. Many of the traditional small waterways and klongs still exist there. Experience the local way of living, rarely seen from the other side of town. Historically, the Thai capital Bangkok was crisscrossed by klongs (canals), and gained the nickname "Venice of the East". Klongs were used for transportation and for floating markets, but also for sewage disposal. Today, most of the khlongs of Bangkok have been filled in, although the Thonburi side of Bangkok (covering areas west of Chao Phraya River) still retains several of its larger khlongs.

We had an incredible time with our amazing guide, Yui. She met us at our hotel right on time and planned out the whome day with us based on things we hadn't seen yet. She was so knowledgeable about history and culture, but also shared her life with us and information about every day life in Thailand. We had incredible ginger tea (in Yui's opinion, worthy of a Michelin star!), received a blessing from a Monk, learned to fold lotus petals from the flower market, and got the scoop on fair prices for street food. Yui was incredible - Big Country, she deserves a raise!! If you are lucky enough to get Yui, you will have a wonderful time gauranteed, but the other guides we met from the same company were nice, too, so you are likely in for a treat with this tour!!

The respon of the Local Partner was very slow. It is hard for me to contact them regarding my booking as they missed the date. However, the Tour Guide, Pete, is awesome. He is very friendly, warm, caring and professional doing his duty as our Tour Guide. Pete definitely recommended to be the Tour Guide and My Family would love to use him again as our Tour Guide sometime in the future. GOD bless

Our tour guide put together a great program for us. She showed us the things we wanted to see, negotiated and compared good prices for the different rides (Longboat, Tactic, Taxi, Bus and Tramp). She was very nice, always explaining new things to us, introducing us to great food and giving us an unforgettable great day. Thank you, always happy to be with you.

A very nice and helpful guide. He organized an interesting trip around Bangkok for us
