Immerse yourself in the vastness of space at the Burke Baker Planetarium in the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Enjoy the upgraded planetarium which features the world's leading digital planetarium software and projection system. Let this digital projection system allow you to step off world and into the wider universe. Explore planets and asteroid fields. See projections of planets, stars, and entire galaxies. Expand your knowledge of the universe with different dome shows like "Lamps of Atlantis", "Are We Really Alone?", "Black Holes", "Starry Night Express", "Dark Side of the Moon", and "Passport to the Universe." Witness the incredible spectacle of millions of Mexican free-tailed bats emerging from beneath Austin's Congress Avenue Bridge at sunset. Enjoy the best views from a kayak on the river below to watch one of the city's most celebrated natural attractions. Meet your guide for an introductory paddling lesson, and learn about how the local bat colony made the bridge their home. As you paddle along the waterways towards the bridge, admire the views of Austin's stunning downtown skyline and bridges along Lady Bird Lake, known locally as Town Lake. Once you reach the perfect vantage point, get in position for the best photos as the bats form enormous surreal dancing clouds, and ascend into the night sky. This ticket can be used any day during zoo operating hours versus standard admission tickets which are date-specific. Explore the zoo's grounds, spanning 50,000 acres, and see some of the more than 8,500 animals that call this zoo home. Zoo Lights will transform San Antonio Zoo into a winter wonderland from November 18 to December 31. Entry to Zoo Lights are included with your admission ticket. Upon arrival, enter a three-story glass structure built around a 50-foot (15-meter) waterfall. Once inside, discover a simulated tropical rainforest filled with exotic plants and hundreds of live butterflies imported from butterfly farms around the world. Marvel as these delicate creatures flutter through the vegetation, stop to sip nectar or fruit juices, and occasionally alight on lucky visitors.
