Full description

Climb aboard for a kayaking adventure in Tenerife and get up close and personal with dolphins and turtles in their natural environment. Observe the amazing creatures from a vessel that does not frighten them or disturb their natural habitat.

Be surrounded by pods of up to 30 dolphins that sometimes put on a show by jumping high into the air. Home to up to 5 different species of dolphins, including bottlenose dolphins, the waters just off the island’s coast are ideal to marvel at these lovable creatures.

While the bottlenose dolphins are the easiest to spot, other species inhabit the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, including rough-toothed dolphins, striped dolphins, and common dolphins.

As wild animals, views cannot be guaranteed, but there is a 95% chance that you will encounter the animals on your trip. Get an optional swimming break and snorkel with turtles and bull rays in a bay only accessible by kayak as a bonus.

Usually, within a few minutes, curious turtles arrive and get very close, swimming around and in between you. Also, bull rays regularly glide elegantly along the sea bed underneath you.

Great experience. You have to be brave 3.5 km out, 3.5 km back paddling with the current. It is worth it. We had a great Shingi guide ;-) Circuit around aquaculture farms that serve as pantry for turtles and dolphins. A bit of snorkeling with some fish. We were able to see a turtle and even try to swim with it. Several dolphins showed up and one jumped out of the water in front of the canoe before passing below us. Amazing!!

first-class guides who instruct well, are in a good mood and have fun with what they are doing. At the first attempt, we were extensively instrumented and lowered into the water, but because the waves were too strong when we came around the first group of rocks into the open sea, the tour was canceled. Safety first! We had already driven almost 1 km and easily cost the crew 1 hour, but the entire price was refunded in full. The next day the money was in the account. The crew apologized three times that they were sorry, they were very sad that they had to cancel it. But we already liked this first contact with the canoe and the crew so much? That we dared to do it again 4 days later, even though we came from Santa Cruz from the north.

Unfortunately we only saw one turtle. There were no dolphins today. Of course you can have that bad luck. Nevertheless we had a lot of fun. The guide is experienced and friendly. Everything is neatly arranged. A good basic condition is required. Tip, make sure you drink and have eaten enough beforehand. That, in combination with medication from the local pharmacy, prevented us from getting seasick (a first). All in all a nice experience.
