I really enjoyed this excursion, Craig was really informative on the drive up through the mountains and the clouds, seeing the different terrain was really interesting especially up near the hotel on Teide, really beautiful as the suns setting. Unfortunately we didn’t get to take the sunset photos as the clouds didn’t settle quick enough but that can’t be helped. Personally the Canarian meal was ok but not my preference, a lovely little restaurant though. The chickpea soup was a bit underwhelming which was followed by a giant plate of pork steaks and a chicken thigh and some very salty potatoes. The stargazing itself, I actually preferred Kieran talking us thru the constellations and the Greek mythology of where they came from than seeing the four galaxies and clusters using the telescope, although it’s very impressive and still interesting. Very pleased we went and if you’re interested in astronomy then you’ll definitely enjoy it.

This was a fun activity. We drove ourselves to the meeting spot. The guides had three telescopes and there was plenty of opportunities to view the objects they located. I would recommend this excursion. Be sure to bring your jacket, stocking cap, and gloves. You're about 6,000 feet above sea level and at night it can get pretty cool.

Absolutely worth it! Hans and the entire team are excellently organized, full of knowledge and secrets about the island, explaining very patiently and enthusiastically what constellations you are seeing and overall guiding you through a lovely experience. The restaurant you stop at for dinner is a local place with personality and delicious food. Recommend this tour with all my heart.
