Full description
Climb up the highest mountain in Spain – Pico del Teide – on this demanding day tour. You will start from the road through Cañadas towards El Portillo, reaching a height of approximately 2,300 meters. As the route gradually approaches the mountain, you will first reach the back of the Montaña Blanca with the "Huevos del Teide" (the eggs of Teide), huge black rocks.
After 1.5 hours, the path through the pumice and lava fields becomes steeper and leads you to the refuge Refugio de Altavista. You will continue on across solidified lava flows to the mountain station of the cable car. You will then hike all the way to the summit of Mount Teide, using your pre-organized special permit.
Enjoy the fantastic views of the Canary islands and experience the tranquility of the summit. At the end of the tour you will take the cable car back down to the starting point.
