Well organised and guides are very knowledgable. We saw the observatory, it was wonderful , but it was too cold for me to enjoy the star gazing- it would be wonderful if blankets were provided and maybe hot drinks. Also if a rough itinerary with timing could be provided upfront, as we left at 13h20 and arrived home at 22h00. We did not know about the picknick you could book with the trip.

Easy pick up with very skilled driver. Drive went up west coast so we could see Las Gigantes cliffs. The evening started with a short walk through the park up to the observatory. An astrophysicist guide explained the design features and workings of all the telescopes. We had an opportunity to look inside a telescope. Then a talk and visuals in the visitors centre. After that it was sunset. Very spectacular. Then a ride back to the cable car base for dinner and a half hour show in the planetarium. After that plenty of time looking at stars and moon through 4 large telescopes. Drive back. A full 8 hours or .more.

Briliant trip to the observatory (however the solar telescope used eas much smaller than that in the picture!) And then on to the base of the cable car where, when it became dark we all looked through 2 telescopes at 6 different sights in the night sky together with very informative commentary, recommended
