Full description

Discover one of the last laurel forests in the world on a private tour of Anaga Rural Park, where time appears to have stood still for centuries. Start in the typical fishing village of San Andres, just outside Santa Cruz de Tenerife, near Teseritas Beach. You will be immersed in the natural world almost immediately. Your guide will provide information on the history of one of the oldest sides of Tenerife, sculpted by millions of years of volcanic erosion. Cross the Fayal-Brezal to discover places full of rural traditions, and friendly locals who are always waiting for visitors. Learn the legends and stories of the aboriginals, and the 1st governors who conquered the island. At the summit of Anaga, you will experience one of the best secrets of the Alisio wind; revel in the magic of the humid Laurisilva forest. Then, visit isolated villages that are still lived in by locals to see traditional rural architecture. Enjoy a unique view from a privileged vantage point, directly over a cliff that towers 550 meters above sea level. End with a walk in the UNESCO World Heritage city of San Cristóbal de La Laguna, and discover why it is sometimes referred to as the “Florence of the Canary Islands.”

Jaime was a great guide. His enthusiasm shines through. His local knowledge and ability to speak both German and English to a very high standard was commendable. He strikes a good balance to enable some free time during the trip. You can see that he really wants to give his clients a positive experience. I would recommend this trip if you want to see a corner of tenerife that most people ( probably ) don't get to see. He worked hard all day to ensure our happiness. The fact that he only takes small groups also helped. We didn't have to do a tour of lots of different hotels , picking up and dropping off lots of people beforehand. ( 5 in our group plus jaime ). I normally like to do adventures without paying for a guide, but on this occasion I was happy to do so. I have done a couple of trips with getyourguide and I find that the big coaches and lots of pick ups / drop offs in large coaches ruin my experience. Jaime is self employed and does everything himself. I recommend him. gracias.

A great tour through the Anaga mountains with a few stops in the cities of Northern Tenerife. Very detailed explanations of the history and landscapes of the island with many stops at viewpoints. We enjoyed a short stop at Benijo beach with a chance to go swimming there. It was the perfect start to our vacation and gave us plenty of information to enjoy the rest of our trip!

On this trip we stopped at a number of interesting places, we walked, had lunch at a local restaurant and swam on the beach with big waves. Our guide Jaime was very nice and we really enjoyed his company. He was approachable, talkative and very well prepared. He taught us a lot of interesting things about Tenerife. My husband and I travelled with 4 children aged 8, 10, 11 and 13 years. Jaime knows how to communicate well with children and they also found this trip very interesting. Although we spent the entire day with him, no one complained that they were bored. Everything can be arranged through Jaime; he is adaptable, practical and very organized. We recommend this trip to everyone as you will see many interesting things and you will learn a lot about the history of the island, culture, climate, plants and more. It was a great pleasure to learn so much about the Canary Islands. We enjoyed it so much that we arranged two more trips with Jaime. When it was time to leave, the children
