Full description
Discover one of the last laurel forests in the world on a full-day tour of Anaga Rural Park, where time appears to have stood still for centuries. Start in the typical fishing village of San Andres, just outside Santa Cruz de Tenerife, near Teseritas Beach. You will be immersed into the natural world almost immediately. Your guide will provide information on the history of one of the oldest sides of Tenerife, sculpted by millions of years of volcanic erosion. Cross the Fayal-Brezal to discover places full of rural traditions, and friendly locals who are always waiting for visitors. Learn the legends and stories of the aboriginals, and the 1st governors who conquered the island. At the summit of Anaga, you will experience one of the best secrets of the Alisio wind; revel in the magic of the humid Laurisilva forest. Continue to Chinamada to see the traditional cave houses that are still lived in by locals. Enjoy a unique view from a privileged vantage point, directly over a cliff that towers 550 meters above sea level. End with a walk in the UNESCO World Heritage city of San Cristóbal de La Laguna, and discover why it is sometimes referred to as the “Florence of the Canary Islands.”

It was an exceptional experience from the beggining till the end. Our guide Jaime was very well prepared - he knows about Tenerife culture, history, flora and fauna a lot and is excited to share! We hiked in amazing Laurel leaves forest, also went to see another panoramic views, shared local food together (goat meat,etc.). We had a feeling as we have spent our day with a friend, who wants to show the best what Tenerife has!

Jaime is the best guide we've ever had. He loves his homeland Tennerifa and his job, has really studied tourism and for this reason is simply crazy. He speaks great German and exudes such enthusiasm for Tennerifa that we will definitely not forget this excursion. I was traveling with my 12 year old son, to whom Jaime also responded very well. Thank you Jaime for this wonderful day. Lorenz & Julia

Gorgeous trip

It was a real pleasure for us to cross Anaga Park in the company of Jaime our professional guide for almost seven hours. The scenery, the green of the forest changing with the altitude, the steep slopes of the mountains, the valleys with few houses, spot of colors contrasting with the prevailance of green, left us an unforgettable impression. Jaime is the kind of guide who honors his profession providing extended information about the places met during the trip in a perfect English. The drive on intricate winding roads was smooth and safe. We really didn’t notice the passing of time. La Laguna the last point of our visit is a UNESCO Heritage Site and the cultural capital of the island. Very nice old architecture, full of history and in the last but important very good food and wine. We had a perfect Canarian day.
