Start your journey to explore the underwater worlds of the oceans on a beginner's diving activity in Tenerife. Meet at the dive center in Costa Adeje and get a short information session with your instructor before your first dive. Dive to a depth of no more than 7 meters under the careful control and supervision of your PADI-qualified instructor. Experience what it feels like to breathe underwater and get closer to the sea life than you ever imagined possible. Then, go on a snorkeling safari in waters that have been voted some of the best in the world. See the diverse marine life of Tenerife as you explore a site populated by different fish and turtles. Was fantastic. The instructors were nice and to the point. Made understanding things pretty easy, walked you through step by step. Boat ride to and from was gorgeous. For first time divers: honestly, suppressing the reflex to breathe in from the nose was the hardest part. But we spent the first part of the trip kinda free roam snorkeling so we had a chance to get used to it. Only other thing I’ll mention for first time is pressurizing as you go down… PHEW! If I could have prepared at all it would have been for that. Personally, I’m sensitive to sound - not so much that it would ever be a real issue, but enough it was a struggle. They probably get it all the time, though. The instructor was very patience. I stayed calm, paid attention to his signals and he helped me stabilize. Once we were going there were some great sights. They pointed out interesting fish or formations. Half way through a huge sea turtle appeared and kinda hung nearby until we left.
