Full description

Starting the tour after sunset, beginning with sights using the naked eye. Learn to recognize the different constellations and the most important stars. Point out the Polaris position and the celestial north pole. Navigate the the ecliptic and zodiac line. Follow Greek mythology through the skies to learn shapes and constellation positions. Then once orientation is established, observe objects and planets through the telescope. This tour is offered at Teide National Park on areas with good and safe access. With a sky free from light pollution, the National Park, is ideal for such an experience. The professional guide/staff and the advanced telescopes, make for an evening to remember.

Meet in the parking area just in front of the natural environment of Minas de San José. If you come from the south it will be the second car park on the right, if you come from the north it will be the first car park on the left.

Fantastic experience! Luke was our guide for the night and provided us with an eye opening opportunity to look closely at stars, planets and our moon with an amazing telescope. He was both inspiring and knowledgeable. We learned about the constellations and how to navigate them. If you aren't an astronomy enthusiast yet you will be by the end of this tour!

our guide was really kind and nice and spoke excellent english. wish i knew a bit more about the real activity though: we walked from the parking lot with the group a bit into the desert and stood there for the next hour. Our guide gave us excellent explanation about all the possible star constellations above us. strongly recommend if you are into astronomy and wanna learn about the sky. they also provide lights (although we didnt get one, even when we asked) and warm jackets (definitely a life saver).

An unforgettable experience !

Unmissable activity if you come to Tenerife !! Everything is well organized, in case of change a mail is sent upstream to prevent, warm coats are made available to fully enjoy the moment. Our "guide" was adorable, we learned a lot and saw many celestial objects. In addition, the observation frame in the Teide National Park gives the impression of having left the Earth. Really a superb memory !!
