Tenerife: Mount Teide Summit Hiking Adventure with Cable Car

Die Tour wäre bestimmt ganz toll gewesen, wenn sie wie gebucht auf Deutsch und nicht auf Spanisch und teils auf Englisch gewesen wäre! Somit konnten wir nur wenige Brocken verstehen. Die Tour dauerte auch über eine Stunde länger als angegeben aufgrund der Spanisch und Englischen Erklärung die wir aber leider auch nicht verstehen konnten. Sehr schade!

Due to the weather, the cable car was not running on the morning of the scheduled ascent. The guide took us on a different walk instead, saw some beautiful scenery and learned about the park, he was very knowledgeable and spoke good English. Finding the guide at the cable car station was a bit haphazard, asked some random people until we found someone that said "yes, I'm your guide" After the walk, the cable car had re-opened as weather improved. We took our chances, rescheduled the cable car ticket and asked the guard at the top if he would let us through after the booked timeslot had passed and without the guide. The guard permitted us because we asked nicely and he knew we had gotten unlucky that morning, but said that if we had come on a different day or met a different guard, we would not have been let up.

Der sehr nette deutschsprachige Guide hat uns sicher bis zum Gipfel geführt. Vor allem bei dem durcheinander an der Kontrollstation zum Gipfel hat er gut unterstützt. Am Gipfel und auch zwischendurch gab es immer wieder interessante Informationen zu der Entstehung der Insel und der Flora und Fauna.
