Full description
Take a 3-hour guided hike along one or more of the 30 trails on Mount Teide. The great variety and levels of difficulty make it easy for visitors to choose their ideal route with the recommendations of the guide. The trails with the most spectacular vistas are on the summit of Mount Teide (3,718 meters) and they can be reached from the La Rambleta starting point (accessible by cable car) followed by trail number 10.  Without a doubt the most popular trail is the one leading to the volcano's peak, but there are limits on how many people can visit that area of Teide. You will be provided with an official guide, who will prepare you for the hike and accompany you along the route to provide commentary on the spectacular natural landscapes.

Unfortunately the cable car didn't work and we couldn't go to the very peak of Teide. Yet, the professional local guide took us for a tour of 1.5 km around the area at the close bottom of the volcano. All the rocks, the landscape surrounding them, all the stories, both those being true or just some local legends were also an interesting alternative way to keep us enchanted or amused during our stay in the presence of the majestic Teide that was not in the mood to allow us stand on its top on that day. Maybe the other time. Anyway, it was a nice and interesting trip despite being all the time only in the shade of Teide.

Great experience! The tour was well organized and our guide did an amazing job. She told us about the history of the island and the Teide, while also being encouraging to everyone doing their best to climb this volcano with so little oxygen in the air. It was a tough little climb, but well worth it!

We had a really wonderful experience with this tour. The pick up was nice and easy, our bus tour guide very helpful and insightful and the climb itself was fantastic. If you go during a time they say it’s cold weather, definitely listen to them as it was a vast difference in temperature on the volcano. While the trails aren’t the most difficult, they are still extremely tricky due to the altitude and the smaller pathways. Highly recommend this tour even if you aren’t able to get a summit hike pass.
