Full description

After picking you up in the selected location, you will visit the largest national park in the Canary Islands and experience a volcanic landscape of unrivaled beauty with your Mount Teide cable car ticket. Forget the car and contribute to a sustainable Teide. By choosing group transport, you’ll help to beat overcrowding in the vehicle parking zones inside the national park which, as a conservation measure, are small and unsuitable for expansion. From the base station, board the cable car for the 8-minute ride up to the highest peak in Spain. The cable car’s upper station, at 3,555 meters, is the point of departure for 3 interesting trails for hiking enthusiasts. There are paths to Pico Viejo Lookout and La Fortaleza Lookout, where you’ll have spectacular views of the north and south of the island. The Telesforo Bravo path leads to the highest point of the volcano, at an altitude of 3,718 meters. To visit the peak you must apply for a permit in advance.

It was a fantastic trip all around the mountain as when we got to the cable car station it was closed due to wind conditions (even though it was hot weather). As it was closed our tour took us around the North of the mountain which was lovely We wore warm clothes but it was so hot in the national park that we had to change in to summer ones. The views were amazing. However the coach at the back for us was not air-conditioned. So our tour guide have lots of interesting information throughout. We stopped at a shop/café on the way there and different one on the way back which had beautiful volcanic jewellery and we had a good pint of tenerife beer!

Everything was super well organized. The guide was very nice, also spoke German. I felt comfortable on the bus because the driver was also very experienced, brought us safely up to El Teide and back again. Up the El Teide with the cable car, that's just impressive, I can't describe it, and you have to experience it yourself... Conclusion: everything was so great! Thanks very much

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Pick up and drop off was smooth. The tour guide was knowledgeable and shared lots of useful insights along the journey, about culture, nature and the areas we were passing, in English, Spanish and French. The driver was very friendly too and the coach comfortable. The trip was well paced, with a pit stop soon after all pick ups for a drink (we had the local coffee and cookies and they were well worth trying). We stopped again at the rock formation before the volcano to walk around and take photos, before the final five minutes to the bottom Teide. There, we were given our cable car tickets and advised we had two hours. The cars go up every 10 mins and take 40 people max, so we got up there in good time, and had a look around before descending. Time was spent in the gift shop and canteen (more expensive than the first stop, unsurprisingly). More insights shared on the return and a stop at a nice tourist shop before drop offs. We all loved the day.
